When you use Apple Pay on your Apple Watch, the mobile wallet replaces your card details with a unique and device-specific Device Account Number (DAN). Each time you add a card to Apple Pay on your watch, a new Device Account Number is generated for that card. This is the information that the merchant, or in this case, we see during transactions, keeping your actual card details secure and private.
