Umbrellas

Can an umbrella
change the world?

We think so.

Rethink

Sharing instead of ownership means fewer products and less waste.
Most products are designed to be owned, used briefly, and discarded. What if we instead shared them? When we share products, we need fewer. Fewer umbrellas manufactured. Fewer umbrellas wasted.

At Dripdrop, a single umbrella can serve dozens of people. It’s smarter, more sustainable, and it just makes sense. Sharing doesn’t just redefine how we use things, it fundamentally reshapes how many things we need at all.

Redesign

Dripdrop umbrellas are built to last.
Traditionally profit is made by selling more which means building things that break. Fast turnover isn’t a flaw. It’s the strategy.
We flipped that script. Our model works best when our umbrellas last longer. We redesigned, not to sell more, but to endure more.

Tips that hold tight

The longer our umbrellas live, the better it is for us, our partners, and the planet.

Reuse

Dripdrop umbrella canopies are made of 100% rPet polyester.
Reusing what exists means less waste, fewer emissions, and fewer resources pulled from the planet. While only 9% of plastic is recycled, each Dripdrop umbrella canopy is made from 100% recycled plastic. It takes about 5 plastic bottles to create this rPet polyester fabric.

Used plastic is collected and sorted by type. The plastic is cleaned and any contaminants are removed. This plastic is then shredded into PET chips to extract fiber which is then combined into yarn and then transformed into polyester we use.

While not every part is recycled yet, every part is made to last. Our steel stands are designed and built in Denmark with modular parts made to be repaired and reused, not thrown away. It’s a mindset we carry into everything we build.

Recover

Each umbrella rental removes plastic waste from our environment.
Through our partnership with rePurpose Global, every Dripdrop rental removes the equivalent of six plastic bottles from the coast of Indonesia, keeping plastic from entering our ocean and harming ecosystems. One umbrella contains about 297g of plastic, enabling you to remove 1.3kg plastic waste from nature in it’s life cycle. That’s 4.5x more plastic recovered than used.

By partnering with Dripdrop, you're ensuring that plastic is collected, sorted, ethically processed by empowering local workers.

Repair

We repair to extend our product’s life cycle and further reduce waste.
Our umbrellas and stands are built to last. This means parts are repairable and easy to service without a technician. We are able to replace individual components, including parts such as the power supply, sticker replacement, payment terminal. No complex tools. No special training. Just simple swaps that keep the system running, keeping things in use shouldn’t be hard. This modular approach allows the stands to remain functional over years of use, reducing downtime and avoiding full-system replacements.

Dripdrop umbrellas can be repaired and reused again and again. It’s how we extend their life, reduce waste, and stay true to our mission.

Reforest

We completed our mission to plant 1,000,000 trees!
Over the past four years, thanks to our partners, every Dripdrop rental and our partnership with Eden: People + Planet, one million mangrove trees now grow where forests were lost. Throughout this journey, local livelihoods have been supported, and these trees will continue to absorb carbon, protect coastlines from erosion, restore ecosystems, and support biodiversity.

This is more than reforestation, it's a living legacy of shared action, showing how even small, daily choices can be better for our planet.

A world where we share more and waste less.
Where products are built to last and durability replaces disposability.
